TF Hudgens (USA) Legacy Products

TF Hudgens is a U.S.-based manufacturer known for its Spinner II® centrifugal oil cleaning systems and the Spinner II® Grid Switch™ Wear Detector. These products were widely used in heavy-duty diesel engine applications to extend oil life and monitor engine wear. TF Hudgens has historically served the industrial, transport, and marine sectors with innovative oil filtration and monitoring technologies. While the company remains active in niche markets, Westate Diesel Systems Pty Ltd no longer stocks or sources Spinner II or Grid Switch products.

Spinner II® Range of Centrifugal Filters

The Spinner II® oil-cleaning centrifuge is a high-efficiency bypass filtration unit for diesel and CNG engines. It's used in addition to your full-flow oil filter to keep oil cleaner, make oil and filters last longer, and protect engines better.

Spinner II® Centrifuges are highly efficient, self-contained, oil cleaning units for bypass and offline filtration of engine lubricants, transmission oil, gear oil and hydraulic oil. Using the power of the centrifugal force, they remove both large and ultra-fine contaminants as small as one-tenth of a micron.

Grid Switch™ Wear Detector

The Spinner II® Grid Switch™ Wear Detector provides early warning of excessive wear in lubricated machinery. It is effective with most lubricated machinery, including engines, transmissions, gearboxes, turbines, compressors and pumps. An intrinsically safe monitor and metal particle detector are available for hazardous environments.

A Grid Switch™ Wear Detector continuously monitors lubricating fluids for metal debris – the first sign of trouble when bearings, connecting rods and other metal parts begin to experience accelerated wear.

ProVent® System

The ProVent® system integrates a powerful oil separator element and a pressure regulator element, both characterized by their robust and light-weight designs.

ProVent® protects the turbocharger and the downstream engine components from the build-up of oily deposits that diminish performance. This commercial concept is designed for industrial engines with a power of up to approx. 1250 kW and can cover volume flows of approx. 10 to 1000 liters per minute (l/min) blow-by.
